Birthday Blooms and the little stamps

Using Birthday Blooms and making the little stamps count

Have you ever looked at your stampsets like Birthday Blooms and just noticed the really big stamp? So often the little stamps go unnoticed because we are so intent on that large image that catches the eye. This week I was blown away when I saw how some of my crafting ladies created a variety of cards and inspired each other, by using the little stamps in the Birthday Blooms stampset.

Creative stories in pictures

I just love how when we start out in a class, I have one design that I have created as a sample to work from….and as the class progresses, I see the beautiful array of designs and uses of colour combinations and embellishments that emerge. Each one as individual as their owner and each one telling uniquely creative stories in pictures. One of the ladies said that as soon as she saw this set the smaller flowers reminded her of her favourite flowers, poppies.

Have a Glass and Craft evenings

Breathe in deeply, relax and get lost in another world! Shaking off all the cares and worries and stress of the day, I watched again as the ladies enjoying a glass and craft evening this week got caught up in the moment.  Surrounded by creativity, gently kindness helps you explore and inspire those arround you. Each of them commented as they were leaving just how much their crafting evening with me had helped each of them escape their day.

Young artist and fresh ideas

This week I was very special when I got to see a young artist take to papercrafting with ease. As the room fell silent for a few moments with each person concentrating, considering what they wanted to design – our young crafter in the group just started laying out her paers and stamping with confidence. It just came naturally. I was reminded of how creative flair is a beautiful thing to watch in progress. Do you think you can guess which card she created? There is only one tiny give-away ;-)….she didn’t use a stamp to create the greeting. She created the card for her father’s birthday and I know he will be over the moon when he received this specially handcrafted card from his beautiful daughter.

Mum and daughter quality time

One of the best compliments I have had about my classes this week is how Mum’s really enjoy crafting with their daughters as it gives them very special quality time together….so Mums, why not consider some Mum and Daughter quality time and rather than going to a crafting session on your own in future, consider taking your daughter to one as well. I am sure they will surprise you.

Next time I will be sharing a special highlight inspired by English Heritage, so be sure to keep stopping by.

Till next time , happy crafting
Dianne x
