Christmas Craft Retreat, rejuvenate, refresh
What better way to relax and get that super rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit, than to spend a great weekend crafting at a very special retreat. It was so awesome and fantastic to share a wonderful time being creative and crafting with great friends – and such a bonus, to enjoy this time together in beautiful, inspiring and tranquil surroundings.
Pictureque grounds inspire creativity
As I arrived in the pictureque grounds and wound my way down the elongated drive to the main house and reception, I could already feel the tension leave my body as the little butterflies crept into my tummy. This was so breathtaking and I was there to host some special ladies for the weekend. We were gathering for our first ever crafting retreat. The excitement had been building for months and as the final few weeks approached, everyone was buzzing with anticipation as they awaited the date to come and enjoy this special “me” time away. I just knew this was going to be a true retreat and time to be refreshed as we let our creative spirits run away with us.
Creative Stamping with Stampin’ Up!
Creative stamping and making various projects, getting our Christmas cards ready for early posting, some Christmas packaging and gift tags was going to be a doddle this year. Everyone loved their chique Craft bags and the great Stampin’ Up! kit which was all included as part of their “goody” bags.
Needless to say there was plenty to ensure that all the creations had some great sparkle for the season too. The ladies loved their stampsets, punches and products and soon set about creating some beautiful makes.
Three cheers to Chef
The food throughout the weekend was simply delicious.
Three cheers to “Chef”! We all agreed that by the end of the week-end, we had all eaten far too much. Our breakfasts were enjoyed in the beautiful Mansion House and some of us simply took time out to have a leisurely stroll through the gardens. A couple of us caught a glimpse of the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids too on the Saturday….all just adding to the happy atmosphere of the weekend.
As the sun set there was a brilliant opportunity for any keen photographers to catch the setting sun behind a few of the majestic, old oak trees.
Cosy, intimate and just such a great time spent being creative and crafting to our hearts content with friends and strengthening the bonds between existing friends. Serene at times as we crafted – but then also hoots of laughter peeling through the restaurant – all of which helped refresh and rejuvenate us all.
