Friends of SUBA bring you Easter Inspiration

Easter Inspiration and HOPE

Now that sounds like and interesting title. Do do you agree?  Friends of SUBA is an acronym given to a wonderful group of fellow Stampin’Up! demonstrators and friends. We are all creating as a team to inspire you and to share with you. My creations symbolise HOPE and I am so excited to be sharing this message and these cards with you! We are participating in our first Friends of SUBA blog hop,  filled with Easter inspiration and I am sure we will share more in the future.

The meaning of Easter

What does Easter mean to you? Is it all about easter eggs, easter egg hunts, simnel cake and chocolate varieties at this time of the year? I love to focus on the eternal Hope that Easter represents for us.

Dianne Richardson Creative Coach & Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator Facebook: my first card, I use a combination of two different stamp sets.  The hills in the background are stamped using the Waterfront stamp set. By applying the yellow and blue inks using finger sponge daubers around the stamped images, you can create the blended, coloured background.  The Hold on to Hope bundle (a stamp set and matching framelits or dies) contains a beautiful selection of ornate crosses. I am delighted with the sentiments in this particular stamp set, as they express what this Easter theme is all about.

Dianne Richardson Creative Coach & Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator Facebook: cards symbolise what lies at the heart of Easter for me.  and as the one sentiment expresses,  “I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Isaiah 46:4.  What greater message of Hope can there be at Easter?

Two embossing techniques.

My technique of choice for you is the use of two different embossing techniques. I am using a wood effect embossing folder for my crumb cake background papers. First stamp the sentiments with versamark, sprinkle over the embossing powder and set with a heat tool.

I hope these cards and techniques inspire you and that you love all the gorgeous creations that our demonstrators are sharing with you. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit my page and may you and your families be blessed this Easter. Be sure to visit Sandra by clicking on the button below.
